Two weeks ago I was approached with the idea of doing a shoot based on “Betrayal” and of course I quickly jumped on it. But rather than just taking a few shots of someone with a knife in their back or a girl crying alone, I really wanted to convey the true emotional stages that one would experience if betrayed. I felt it would give the images a layer of truth that the viewer could connect with on more than just a visual scale. “Betrayal” is the story of a bride who has been betrayed by the person she loves. Left for dead she experiences nine stages of emotion, starting with shock and ending with growth.
Stage 1: Shock
Stage 2: Pain
Stage 3: Despair
Stage 4: Realization
Stage 5: Anger
Stage 6: Yearning
Stage 7: Disregard
Stage 8: Change
Stage 9: Growth
